I've removed the "send me money" Paypal button from the sidebar on this site and added a button to donate to my web hosting bill instead.
I feel a bit more comfortable with this somehow...

you can use blogger´s free hosting with your own domain name. Plus, there are no ads!
yes however I have other websites and will most likely move from the Blogger platform soon...
I recommend you WordPress, but read about how to import your blogger posts.
I tried it, I need something more robust for what I want to do.
